Most small and medium food businesses in Pakistan complete ISO 22000 implementation in about 6 to 12 weeks. The pace usually depends on prerequisite programmes. A plant with documented cleaning schedules, pest control records and an approved supplier list already has much of the foundation in place. A plant that runs these informally spends the first few weeks writing down what it already does before the hazard analysis can be validated.
